After following Goudie for some time now, they only continue to amaze me. Everytime I see them I get lost in Johnny's vintage vocals. His voice is a gift that fortunately allows his listeners a respite into a melodic offering. An offering that will please the listener's palate and not be wasted. Goudie's lyrics reach a place that commiserates with a universal experience. Plugged or unplugged there is no differentiation. A compliment in and of itself. SXSW offered another glimpse into Goudie's world. A world where each band member becomes one. How fortunate we are to realize the strength of unity Goudie relinquishes to its fans. The Effects of Madness CD, recently released nationally, will not disappoint. Everyone can relate to its message and its depth.
