Good Charlotte
Edgefest 12
Dallas, Texas

Many great bands played through the afternoon at Edgefest 12, but the show did not truly hit the charts until Good Charlotte took the stage. Coming through smoke and strobe lights, the band's first song of the night was "Lifestyles". The crowd went crazy when Joel began singing songs from their recent album The Young and the Hopeless with lighters and cell phones glistening throughout the entire venue.

The band communicated very well with the audience between songs while talking about everything from their pets to suicide and also complimenting all of the previous bands. A variety of things occurred during the GC show including a stage rush, Joel reaching out to touch the fans, and the band slowing things down a bit so Benji could deliver a message to the audience about life; no matter how bad things are sometimes, you have to stay strong to get through it.

After the band mentioned that they would be returning to Texas sometime in the fall, they performed the last song, their recent hit single, "The Anthem", topping off an unbelievable show without one word of profanity.
