Whatever it is that you expect from Custom, you won't get it. Instead, what you'll be delivered is a powerful performance that does everything you weren't expecting to see or hear. Custom is a towering man with spikey blond-tipped hair who doesn't seek to please people- he'd much rather just have fun. That goes for the band that backs him as well. From drums, to keyboards, to guitars and bass, the band peiced together a full melody that kept the crowd moving. During their performance in Austin, Texas on April 7th, they shook the audience up, then calmed them back down, only to shake them up once again. As the show began, Custom had a few questions about Texas history (specifically the Alamo), which the fans did their best to answer. As soon as the History lesson ended, the music ensued. And as the band played, and as Custom sang and occassionally chimed in with guitar, the crowd sang along. It's typical that most concert goers only know the words to the hit single, and maybe a few other songs. But Custom's single "Hey Mister" wasn't the only song they knew. Every song was a hit single to this audience. The reason for this? I'd say great music delivered by even better performers. Just before breaking into "Streets", Custom stated suggestively, "Moshing is a lost art that we need to bring back." And as soon as the music began, the crowd began to mosh- crowd surfers included. But not everyone was feeling Custom. There were a few nay-sayers hanging around in the back who were looking to cause trouble. Their goal was shot down as Custom and the band gave them a few good slurs and curses, and continued with their fun. Cause that's the ultimate goal here: Have fun.
