Ben Kweller's live performance is light, energetic, and musically pleasing. Blending sounds from his album with covers of some of the greatest songs over the years, Kweller keeps is audience interested, and begging for more. This specific day-time show would require all of his efforts, with a heat index of 104 degrees and even hotter in the damp, crowded venue, it was surprising to see the crowd as energetic as they were, and as present as they were. With the heat and exhaustion of the day, it was amazing half of the crowd hadn't left to seek refuge in a happier, more air-conditioned place.
Regardless of the heat, Kweller, backed by a few excellent musicians, brought the music back to Dallas with an amazing set packed with acoustic sounds and brilliant harmonies. Opening with an Elvis Classic, "I Can't Help Falling in Love with You" and finishing with some classics of his own, the show was all but disappointing. Ben Kweller, with the release of his latest album "Sha Sha", is now enlightening the nation with his spectacular music in his nation-wide headlining tour, recommended to music fans everywhere.
